Sabina II House

Overview

Casa Sabina II is a residential project conceived as the second phase of the Casa Sabina complex, developed as a new building that responds to a careful reading of the place and its urban context. Established in a residential neighborhood in the Historic Center of Cuenca, in the San Sebastián sector, the project understands architecture as an exercise in balance between scale, proportion and way of living. The proposal is based on a respectful relationship with the environment, prioritizing natural light, ventilation and visual connection as structural elements of the design.

Result

The building materializes freeing up the ground floor to generate an open and permeable space that strengthens the relationship with the immediate environment. The reuse of the stone floor from the original property provides material continuity and reinforces the authentic character of the complex. The resulting spaces offer a daily experience where architecture is integrated with light and nature, giving rise to sober, welcoming and well-proportioned environments. Casa Sabina 2 consolidates a proposal where the contemporary is built from memory, demonstrating that it is possible to project with sensitivity, judgment and permanence over time.
